GINGER LEIGH RYAN

Ginger Leigh Ryan is an editorial hairstylist based in New York City. Growing up in NYC, Ginger had industry exposure early on by helping their father,  British hairstylist Kevin Ryan, backstage at fashion week runways and shoots from the age of 16. After assisting various hairstylists in the city such as Braydon Nelson. Ginger began training under Esther Langham as her first assistant for many years, working with high profile clients such as Celine by Hedi Slimane Chloe and others. In their own work as lead hairstylist, Ginger has collaborated with brands and magazines including Ann Demeulemeester, Saint Laurent, Hommegirls, V Magazine and Heroine Magazine. As well as working on music videos with bands and musicians such as Pretty Sick, Maya Hawke and sleigh bells. Using a mixture of classical hairstyling techniques and modern innovation, Ginger draws from a desire to create images and characters that feel classic and tasteful with a youthful twist. A bright new face in the industry with already more than a decade of experience behind them, Ginger brings a keen eye with wide industry and cultural knowledge to each project, bolstered by their taste, references, and technical finesse.
