Lisa Houghton is a British makeup artist, internationally recognized for her effortless beauty aesthetic and cutting-edge editorial work. With a career spanning over 20 years, she has collaborated with some of the most celebrated photographers, designers, and brands in the fashion and beauty industries.
Lisa’s career took off when she became the first assistant to Charlotte Tilbury, working at the forefront of high fashion and beauty. Assisting on runway shows, editorial shoots, and luxury campaigns, she gained invaluable insight into creative direction, brand identity, and the evolving beauty landscape. Over the years, her work has been captured by some of the world’s most renowned fashion photographers, including: David Sims, Mario Testino and Tim Walker.
Lisa’s work has graced the pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, W Magazine, i-D, and Dazed & Confused. In the late 2000s, she worked on 14 iconic covers for Dazed & Confused, becoming a source of inspiration across the fashion industry with her experimental, edgy beauty concepts.
